Marshall, Texas – For the third time in six games, Hendrix traveled to Texas for a non-conference contest as the Warriors battled East Texas Baptist University, in search of its first win against the Tigers since 1989.
A slow start allowed East Texas Baptist to jump out to a 37-17 lead and they didn’t look back in claiming an 81-68 victory over Hendrix Tuesday night.
Sean Coman poured in a game-high 24 points on 8-of-22 shooting in 33 minutes of action.
A day after picking up his first-ever Southern Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Player of the Week accolade, forward Seth Stanley recorded 20 points and five rebounds as the Warriors fell to 2-4 on the young season.
ETBU improved to 4-1.
