
Atlanta, Georgia – The Southern Athletic Association announced its weekly awards Monday afternoon and it was announced that junior forward Seth Stanley was awarded the SAA Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honor after his incredible performance on Saturday.
Stanley, a native of Springdale, Ark. finished with a game-best 31 points on 11-for-17 (64.7 percent) shooting from the floor in Hendrix’s 89-79 win versus Austin College. The 6’7″ forward also recorded five rebounds and four assists in only 28 minutes of work. The sophomore shot 7-for-8 at the charity stripe while also tallying two steals and a block against the Roos.
Additionally, Stanley scored 20 of his game-high 31 points in the second half while also shooting 7-for-9 in the games final 20 minutes. With 4:32 to go and leading by one, Stanley scored the next 11 points for Hendrix; giving the Warriors an 85-74 lead with 55 ticks on the clock left, capped off with an incredible posturize.
Stanley and the rest of the Warriors hit the road to Marshall, Texas Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. to take on the East Texas Baptist University Tigers.
